GLASSES

Thursday, January 10, 2019

After the holidays have passed, i like to sit and think about what i could have done differently or maybe what I need to purchase for next year. I write it down, of course, because I will definitely forget if I don't.
I go over the menus I made and keep note of what was a hit or a fail and maybe what I made way too much of that could be decreased, which is usually most everything. Italian girls always make too much, oh well...
Anyway, I need to revamp my glasses, water, wine, special beverage, all of them really.
When my daughter was making her wedding registry I realized most new brides to be do not register formal glasses. Back in the stone age of the 80's when I was creating a registry we all wanted Lenox, or Waterford, or some other formal, got to register at least 8 to 12 of the same glasses, same water, same wine....It's different now and I like it..Everything is more casual, more practical, and there's room to be unique and mix and match sets to create a really pretty and interesting table or bar cart.

So there is a million sites to look at and order glasses from but i thought i would show you a few I think are worth the look. I personally like clear with maybe a hint of a texture but nothing crazy. There are so many colors and patterns to choose from as well. I always like to choose things that will go with everything, my practical side, but sometimes something else does stop me in my tracks.
So here are a few from Pottery BarnCrate and Barrel, and Anthropologie,

First two are from Pottery Barn
I like the simplicity

These are Schott Zwiesel

These are Crate and BarrelWater Goblet

Whiskey glasses

Never saw Moscow mules in another metal. There are a few different metals to choose from

Beer should be in a glass, right?

The last few here are from Anthropologie

stemless wine or water
