Big Al's shadow box DIY

So at Christmas time I always try to think of a memory keepsake type present. So since my youngest son had finished his freshman year of college football, I said to my husband, it would be nice to come up with something that is a keepsake for that.  His wheels started turning and he went into the garage.
He took old license plates and put together this shadow box, with his jersey number, along with a photo of Ean on the field.
We couldn't leave the other kids out, so he made one for my older son, who had played football at the same college that Ean is currently attending.
He made one for Alexis and Ed, who were married this past February. That shadow box included a picture from the wedding, and the wedding date was in old license plate numbers and letters.
He also made each of them a keychain with their initial from a license plate letter.
So thoughtful and a great keepsake. Easy to replicate if you have old license plates.
